Controllable heat and light transmission

ConverLight® Dynamic glass provides sustainable solar control for increased indoor comfort and energy efficiency in buildings. The electrochromic technology in our smart dynamic glass stops solar heat before it even enters the building. Our dynamic glass solution adjusts the solar transmittance depending on conditions such as time of day, outdoor temperature and window position. The effect is that the window block the solar heat when it is warm and let the solar heat in when it is cold, in order to regulate the indoor comfort.

The electrochromic foil we have developed has revolutionized the smart dynamic glass market. By using a multilayer structure between two electrochromic plastic layers, we create a flexible and lightweight ConverLight® foil. An electronic control unit automatically regulates the tone of the film and the solar transmission, for example by connecting to a sensor network. By applying a low electrical voltage to the electrochromic foil, the solar transmittance and tone are controlled discretely.
Since the foil only uses electricity during the time when the tone changes, it is very energy efficient. We also offer fully self-sustaining dynamic glass, powered by integrated solar cells. We have the environment in mind during the entire life cycle of the product and an environmental product declaration published, where the environmental impact of the product is declared.

ConverLight® Dynamic 65 & 75

The ConverLight dynamic glass laminate is available in two versions. ConverLight 65 and ConverLight 75. ConverLight65 glass has a light transmittance of 65% in the light stage and blocks 90% of the heat transfer in the dark stage. ConverLight75 glass has a light transmittance of 75% in the light stage and blocks 80% of the heat transfer in the dark stage. The ConverLight 65 version is preferred when heat transfer reduction is prioritized and the ConverLight 75 version is preferred when light transmission and esthetics is prioritized. Both versions works however well in all areas.
ConverLight foil is delivered as laminated glass or as an insulating glass unit with two, three or four glass. Spacers and gas are selected according to the desired function, needs and requirements. ConverLight can be combined with many different features like laminated safety glass, fire-resistant glass, security glass, sound-reducing glass, anti-condensation glass, self-cleaning glass, extra clear glass etc.
It is possible to customize solutions according to prerequisites of a particular installation since ConverLight is always delivered with ConverLight Control Unit (CCU) which easily links to a control or automationsystem. Connect to existing building automation systems or our flexible control and cloud solutions, ChromoGenics Control System (CCS) and ChromoGenics Cloud (CC).

A climate smart solar control glass solution providing full access to daylight and views. Our self-sustaining dynamic window is powered by a solar cell integrated in the window frame and is independent of any external control systems.
ConverLight AW has the same unique properties as ChromoGenics other products regarding silent operation and automatic adaptive solar control. Can be configured with all types of ChromoGenics dynamic glass and is as easily installed as a standard window.

A unique dynamic glass laminate

The ConverLight foil is laminated between PVB foils and two tempered glass, which keeps it weather-protected. ConverLight dynamic glass laminate and insulating glass can be delivered in many different shapes like rectangle, triangle, polygon, round or ellipse and is the only commercially available electrochromic product that can be delivered in curved forms, thanks to the flexibility of the foil. Available in dimensions up to 1550×4400 mm with a thickness of 10-22 mm.
In addition to the dynamic glass properties, the only difference between ConverLight and ordinary glass is a two-pole cable connected to the laminate, which provides many functional and logistical benefits.

ConverLight Control Unit

The dynamic properties of the glass are controlled with a proprietary algorithm which is continuously variable between the light and dark state, resulting in a smooth and pleasant transition. The glass transition is noticeable within a few minutes and full transition takes approximately 20-40 minutes depending on the size and temperature of the dynamic glass. After complete transition, the glass does not require any drive voltage. ConverLight Control Unit (CCU) is small and easy to integrate into a wall, ceiling or connection box.

ChromoGenics Control System

ChromoGenics Control System (CCS) controls up to four zones (more as an option). Each zone is automatically controlled by battery-free and wireless light sensors that avoids wiring and damage to the facade or roof. Delivered pre-assembled and configured, CCS is easy to install. It can be overridden by or communicate with other building automation via Ethernet and MODBUS TCP/IP.

ChromoGenics Cloud

ChromoGenics Cloud (CC) is a web-based portal service where the user interface is adapted by permissions for operating personnel, property owners, tenants etc. A map overview shows the location of all properties including alarms and statistics. The property page visualizes functions, zones, sensors and alarms, which allows remote monitoring of a specific facility by the owner, third party supplier or ChromoGenics if so desired. The connection is automatic with Internet access to CCS.
