ConverLight® Dynamic and Static glass for solar control

We see it everywhere. Glass has been a dominating material in the construction of modern buildings in the last decades. A trend that has given us beautiful architectural creations that provide light and open settings. At the same time, the use of glass façades places high demands on how energy should be handled, with respect to the environment, comfort and sustainability.

ChromoGenics offers two unique glass solutions, ConverLight® Dynamic and ConverLight® Static  that fulfills the requirements on modern buildings.

Reduced solar heat radiation

ConverLight reduces the level of solar heat radiation up to 90%. Regardless of season, weather and time of day, the dynamic glass provides a perfect working environment – with reduced reflections on computer screens and lower light contrasts.

UV protection and noise control

With ConverLight dynamic and static glass you don’t have to fear the effects of direct sunlight – it gives 100% UV protection. The unique glass laminate in our dynamic product also provides safety via laminated and tempered glass, plus noise reduction features.

Total architectural freedom

Besides being flexible and easy to install, ConverLight dynamic and static glass is an architect’s dream material. Our glass is suitable for new construction, retro fit or renovation and gives the architect full freedom of design as our solution only has minimal effect on the architectural expression of the building.

Finally, you can avoid the use of external solar protection that can be perceived as misplaced and difficult to maintain. ConverLight can be delivered as an insulated glass unit and other shapes such as triangle, round, polygon etc and even as curved glass. The dynamic glass solution consists of two tempered glass panes and a laminate layer, and the glass sections can be as large as 1.55 x 4.40 m. The static glass can be as large as 3.00 x 6.00 m.

ConverLight dynamic and static glass works as an automatic climate system that blocks unwanted solar heat before it even enters the building, keeping the facilities cool. This makes ConverLight a very cost-efficient solution for all buildings.

Flexible and simple automation

ConverLight is adaptable for your needs. Our dynamic glass is delivered in chosen insulated glass unit (IGU) configuration with either a ConverLight Control Unit (CCU) or ConverLight Autonomus Window.

The CCU is simple to connect to the control system ConverLight Control System (CCS) and the surveillance service ConverLight Cloud (CC).
ConverLight Autonomus Window is a self supporting solution fully solar powered. All technology is integrated in window frame ans any additional control system is not needed.
The control function is tailored to any use case.

ConverLight® Static, a new angle on static glass

ChromoGenics static glass, ConverLight Static (I-Window) is the market leading static solar control solution. The patented solution gives a great heat blocking effect in combination with a great heat insulation. To upgrade a building with our static glass gives a large energy saving effect that directly is affecting the value of the property. In wintertime the glass is very effective against down draft.
